I didn't post much during my pregnancy with Cooper, so I wanted to add some detail. This post has been back-dated.
We found out we were expecting on 3/31/07. This was after 12 months of trying. During that time, we had found out that I had PCOS. This meant that I didn't ovulate - at least not all that often. Getting me to ovulate ended up being a pretty big deal. There were needles, fertility drugs, and multiple doctor visits involved. The wonderful thing was that it worked the first time I really ovulated.
So, on 3/31/07 it was 11 days past my HCG trigger shot...but my doctor appointment wasn't for 3 more days. I was so excited that I couldn't wait to test. I was planning to wait one more day but couldn't stand the anticipation. That morning, while DH was out playing racquetball with the guys, I gave in and tested. The test came back with the faintest of faint lines! I was thrilled - I dropped to my knees and thanked God for finally giving us what we had been praying for. I actually took pictures of the test before DH got home - fearing that it would fade away.
I showed him the pics and test when he got home. I don't think he really believed me, so I scheduled a blood test with my doctor that morning (a Saturday). We had to wait until the afternoon to get the results. I went shopping with a girlfriend, while DH and the guys worked on cars. Everyone else was clueless as to what was on our minds. I got the call and confirmed I was pregnant. I called DH immediately and told him "in code" the news.
