Yes, Dr. Haney was my doc...sorry that I forgot to mention that point yesterday. I think he is totally fabulous. I also think worlds of Dr. Davis (the other major TAC surgeon), but Dr. Haney was "the one" for us.
So, I definitely overdid yesterday, but that's okay. I woke up in the middle of the night in pain...took my meds. Four hours later...needed meds again. So, this morning I emailed Dr. Haney just to make sure this was "normal". (That's so weird to say coming from someone who defies the odds in all sorts of ways). Anyway, my pain is localized to my left side and is pretty sharp at times...so I was concerned. Dr. Haney called me back early this morning and assured me that I was in fact normal. The sharp pain is just my muscle healing. Yeah!!!
Hmmm...

I wish you quick healing.
I know a TAC is different from a vaginal cerclage, but when I had mine done my lower back and hips killed me. I was in so much pain that I just stayed on my hands and knees and cried. The hydrocodone did nothing.
How are things going? I've been thinking about you.
Don't be afraid to take the pain meds. I took them for 2 weeks I think and when I tried to wean off of them it was worse.
What did they give you for the pain?
I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Haney and I'm so glad you went to him! We saw Dr. Davis only because he was literally in our backyard. But had he not been, we would have been open to other doctors, primarily Dr. Haney.
Hopefully you are feeling better by now!
I've just come upon your blog through another one and wanted to give you my well wishes and hope, even though you don't know me. It was after our TAC that we were able to bring home our baby, after 7 losses. He is now 3 1/2 years old. Hope you are feeling better soon. Sending hope to you.
