Transfer day

transfer is done. Bedrest for 48 hours now. They gave me some va.lium before my procedure, but I think it's wearing off now. Anxiety is back. We had two blasts transfered. I was actually disappointed with the grades - though I'm not sure I should be. We have a ccb and a dcc

So here's my question to fellow ivfers - what do my grades mean? And should I put any weight as to if I could get pregnant?

Hi

I was told that once they make it to blast stage the numbers increase as far as implantation is concerned. Did they mention if any of them were hatching? I had a5 day trans and a 6 day had 100 % implantation both times. This time we started with twins and 1 stopped growing around week 8. All places grade on a diffrent scale so I am not sure what your clinics grading system is Sorry I cant help with that. Take it easy. As for now you are pregnant untill proven otherwise. Wishing you the best.

Sending you sticky embryo dust. Lounge around and let those babies implant. I hope this is it and in a couple weeks you get to celebrate a BFP.

I can't offer any advice, just wanted you to know I'm thinking good and "sticky" thoughts for you! Take it easy and try to get some rest.

I can't offer any advice either, but I'm thinking of you (as always) and hoping for the best. Prop your feet up and eat some pumpkin pie!

Love the new look!

Good luck! I hope you are successful! Enjoy the excuse to "lounge" around.

I had a RE once tell me that they use the grades to determine the strength of the embryo and likelihood of implantation/ positive pregnany. HOWEVER, in next breath she said that they really don't know- most of this is a mystery and she always gets surprised when the weak looking ones take- as they often do. She went to say that there have been many instances that she was sure they would not work due to the poor grade- and behold- a preganncy and easy delivery- with photos on her wall to prove it.

It is a mystery. Just focus on the positive and your longing to be a mother. That's really all we can do anyway, right?

The embryologist at the clinic I go to explained it and while I can't ever hope to get it right basically what she said was that the base the grading on how they look. The gist of what she said was that a lower grade didn't automatically mean it wouldn't work or you had drastically lower chances. I know I was thinking of all this too as mine were all grade 3. Good luck to you.

Good luck to you, I will be thinking of you. Try and relax, and try to think positive, believe me I know that is easier said than done. Hoping for your BFP.
