A bit funny

So there are things that I find funny that may not be...and there are things that I know you guys will find funny - that I may not (at least not at the time).

What I find funny:
At night when Riley is starving, she goes crazy looking for her *food source*. She opens her mouth huge and swings her head back and forth. Make that back and forth a lot, especially for someone so little. It really is a sight to see. Sometimes her eyes are open during this and other times she doesn't even seem to wake up! She even makes sounds like a wild animal sometimes - breathing hard and fast. The sad thing is that I'm probably the only one to see this...and the only one that really finds it funny :-)

What you will find funny:
During these starving feeding sessions, I'm held captor. I'm stuck to Riley as long as she chooses to eat. Being the child of a multi-tasker, Riley of course does double duty while eating. She's gotta make room for her food, so...she fills her diaper. Issue is that I apparently ate something awful (and passed it to her) recently. The past few nights, she is making the worst diapers yet. I really wonder how such a smell can come from someone so very small??? So, there I sit completely stuck as the smell rises! I've actually held my breath a couple times now :-) Truly, I'm not exaggerating. She has "toots" that would make a grown man blush! Up until now, that has been slightly funny and even impressive. Now that they seriously stink, mommy isn't laughing nearly as hard!
And another thing...along with this wonderful smelling stuff is coming more of it. Meaning that Riley can dirty 3-4 diapers in one single changing. The other night just as I thought I had gotten her all cleaned up and slipped the new diaper under her tooshie, she had more stinky stuff. So, I let her finish and cleaned again...only to have the next diaper be wet on immediately along with the changing pad! Oh so very fun when all you want is to go back to sleep.

Yes, I'm loving motherhood. Honestly through all this, I just look at her and laugh. My heart melts because I'm amazed with everything she does. Yes, everything! (Shouldn't have to tell you guys though, I'm blogging about poo!!!) I love my little princess and her stinkiness!

And stay tuned...I go back to work in 15 days...not excited at all, so I need to blog about it.

This is one of those things that is likely much funnier to the rest of us than it is to you at the time. :)

I love it! Gwendolyn does the same thing with the psycho head thrashing from side to side! Sometimes she even does it when the nipple is IN her mouth and she just doesn't realize it! I laugh out loud every time. I'm so glad you are enjoying these moments. I like reading your blog posts about poo rather than the anxiety you were dealing with during pregnancy!

LOL, go Riley! Definitely a story you need to tell at her wedding, haha. ;)

Hang in there mama...and breathe through your mouth!

It's all funny. So much poop from such a little girl. Where does she store it all?

PS. I emailed you, so be on the look out :-)
