Riley's travels

Riley has already had her first airplane ride. Amazingly enough, she slept through the entire thing. She must have her daddy's ears because her mommy's pop anytime we go up a hill! I had to keep closing her mouth through the trip because she was so sound asleep. Guess it helped that I massaged under her chin too - to get her to swallow in case her ears needed popping.

We travelled to see the grandparents for the weekend. It was a short flight and a good test ride. We definitely plan to travel more, so it's good that she did so well. Riley spent all day Saturday with her Mimi and other family while mom and dad went to a football game. It was my first time to be away from her for more than 3 hours. We were gone almost 10 hours. That was enough for 3 feedings! I had to pump while at the game...that was, well, interesting! I'll just say that tinted windows are great, but pumping in the middle of a tailgate is a bit unnerving.

When I got back to my baby, I was a bit rude. I ignored my whole family and went straight to her. I couldn't wait to get back to her (and neither could my boobs). I guess it was a good test for me since I'll be going back to work next week. It's crazy how much I missed her during those 10 hours. I love football and all...but I really missed my little girl. I'm just glad that the first time to leave her that long was with my mom. I do not like leaving her that long. Uggghhh, work is not going to be fun.
