Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long since I had written on here...guess time is flying by...or I am trying to make it fly!
My cervix is officially made of steel now. I'm measuring 5.5cm STILL! This is despite 15 weeks of constant contractions and proven incompetent cervix. If there were ever any question about the TAC, it is completely gone now. My surgery has definitely gotten me to this point and was totally worth it. I'm totally amazed.
All that said, I'm still a bit scared by the contractions. There are good days and bad days. I now am on a terbutaline pump and even have contraction monitoring at home. It's actually comforting to have the contraction monitoring. I have pretty constant contractions around 15min apart (on good days) - even with the constant terbutaline. BUT, they aren't increasing right now. And, as long as I keep my activity low, I can keep them at that level for now. Once we get to the point that we can't control the contractions with my terbutaline anymore, that's when this beautiful girl will make her entrance. My OB is now thinking 35w is the key (only 4w away). Maybe I'll prove him wrong and go longer???? Wouldn't that be amazing!
Oh, and I got the steriods this week. Long story short is that my doc was going to be on vacation for a week and I got scared. I had a "bad" contraction day the day before he left...so I talked him into giving me the steroids a bit early. He was going to give them to me when he got back anyway, so I didn't have to beg too much.

I'm glad things are going well. That is one AWESOME cervix measurement. I hope the steroid shots give you some peace of mind. I'm glad you updated. It won't be too long before I'm begging you to post pictures of your living child!
possibly only 4 weeks away, wow. that's so incredible. i'm so glad your docs have kept the contractions in check. and your tac has proven to be a steel trap for sure...what a wonderful blessing!
Wow- the TAC is AMAZING!! It's so exciting to think that your baby girl will be here before we know it. I can't wait to see her picture either and learn the name you've choosen.
I made a butterfly for Cooper last night. This morning, I'm working on one for Brayden. Check my blog later to see if I've posted them up.
Thinking of you today and sending you a big hug.
Hooray! Nearly there! So happy to hear this news.
Only 4 weeks away? That's great! I cannot imagine how excited, freaked out, and a whole host of other emotions you must be experiencing. I'm so excited for you and M! Michelle told me he wants the recipe for sopapilla cheesecake so I'll post it on my blog.
I hope the contractions don't get worse and you can continue to enjoy having her in your tummy a little longer...like 4 more weeks.
Wow, I didn't realize your contractions were that frequent.
I hope you can prove your doctor wrong!

You are doing GREAT!! My sister had constant contractions as well-- she was taken off the terb. at 35 weeks and went to 38w6d. Of course, she did not have a TAC...
It won't be long until we finally meet this baby girl!
Hi Windy,
I'm curious about the contractions... Do the docs think you also had PTL in addition to the IC?
