Yep, that's right...the circus. I just got back from going to the circus with my girlfriends tonight. Two of us took our friend out for her birthday, and part of the outing was the circus! It really was so much fun. It's been a long time since I've truly felt that. I mean, I laugh at movies or commercials or jokes...but it's not that pit of your stomach happy. Tonight, I laughed like the "old" me. I guess it was because in that atmosphere you pretty much become a kid again. It was nice to know that it is possible to feel that way. And, I didn't feel guilty about it. Even now, writing about it I'm not guilty.
Yeah for the circus!

I totally relate to the laughing. I've said before that I still laugh, but I don't feel it in my soul like I used to.
I'm so happy you had so much fun.
I'm so glad you had a good time.
I used to go to the circus (Barnum & Bailey) every year as a child for my birthday. My birthday is towards the end of June and it just so happened that's when they came through here.
Long story short, many years had passed that I didn't go to the circus- for whatever reason. Mr. H took me two years ago (for my b-day) when I was pregnant with Sam.
Now going to the circus just seems sad to me. This year, the schedule changed and they will be here later this month. Maybe we'll go, maybe not. But either way, I'll always have the memories.
BTW, I never realized how expensive it was to go to the circus. I just took it for granted when I was little that I got to go- not anymore.
That's great. Last night I did not go to the circus but I went to circus classes and had a similarly good time. Hanging upside down on a trapeze hoorah!
